AQA MOULA VISIT TO ARUSHA 2000

The day of 23/08/2000 dawned on Arusha, the land of Kilimanjaro and Ngorongoro like the day of Eid. For mumineen of Arusha, this day was nothing less than Eid for it was the day on which our Bawa Mushfiq, Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb (TUS) was coming to Arusha after a long span of 7 years. This was Aqa Moula (TUS)'s 6 th visit to Arusha, a town with a population of 300,000 inhabitants but only 600 mumineen. After doing araz in Dar-Es-Salaam, mumineen of Arusha received Bushra of Aqa Moula (TUS)'s visit to Arusha on 21/08/2000.

Aqa Moula (TUS) landed at Arusha airport (6kms from town center) at 12:00noon in chartered aircraft from Dar-Es-Salaam. Mumineen in hundreds received Aqa Moula (TUS) with Naras of Takbeer and Zindabad. Aqa Moula (T.U.S) was received by His Worship The Mayor of Arusha – Mr Kivuyo and the Regional Police Commander. Aqa Moula (T.U.S)  was escorted through the main road in a motorcade befitting a King. People from all walks of life gathered by the roadside for a glimpse of His Holiness (TUS).

Aqa Moula (TUS) arrived at the residence of Marhum Sheikh Esmail's farzando for a short rest after which He went to Saifee Masjid (the only Masjid in Africa whose foundation was laid by Syedna Taher Saifuddin AQ).At Saifee Masjid, mumineen had the Sharaf of Zohar and Asar Namaz. After Namaz, members of Anjuman E Hakimi, Arusha offered Sharbat, Vadhawanu and Maqdam Najwa. Aqa Moula (TUS) then did a short Bayan and showered mumineen with bounties of Doa.

After Maqdam Majlis, 17 (seventeen) Ziafats took place and mumineen did Kadambosi and received Tashreef. Aqa Moula (TUS) then performed Nikaah of Mulla Tayyib Sh. Zoebbhai (A talabat from USA in Khidmat in Yemen) to daughter of Sh. Mohammed Sh. Fidaali of Nairobi. This was the only Nikaah to be performed by Aqa Moula (TUS) in a Masjid during this trip of East Africa.Aqa Moula (TUS) then left Saifee Masjid for Bait Ul Ayman, the residence of Marhum Sheikh Esmail's farzando for Jaman and rest.

At 6:00pm, Aqa Moula (TUS) was bade farewell from the residence by His Worship the Mayor and hundreds of tearful mumineen.Aqa Moula (TUS) was again escorted to Kilimanjaro International Airport by a police escort and a motorcade of about 30 cars to the Airport which is 45Kms from Arusha town. The peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro were unusually clear for this time of the year, as if eager for Deedar of our Aqa Moula (TUS). Aqa Moula (TUS) performed Maghrib – Isha namaz at VIP lounge where due to security reasons, only few mumineen were able to pray Imamat. Thereafter, the plane departed for Nairobi at 7:15PM
